Policies & Protocols


Clock-In/Out

Cocina Cecilia requires all employees to clock-in or out using our online Employee Timesheet system. A 10min grace period has been implemented for the clock-in process, however, Cocina Cecilia expects all employees to be on time. This grace period is not to be abused.


Cellular Usage

Cocina Cecilia prohibits the use of personal cellular phones while in the kitchen. Employees will be permitted the use of their celluar phones outside of the kitchen upon request.


Lunch Breaks & Meal Credits

Cocina Cecilia requires all employees to take their breaks off site. Employee Breaks and Meal Credits are dependant on the hours scheduled. Employee Meal Credits can be used on all items on our menu. Employee Meal Credits CANNOT be bundled with the Employee Discount.

  • Under 5hrs:
  • 20 min Break (Paid)
  • $8 Meal Credit
  • Over 5hrs, Under 8hrs:
  • 40 min Break (Paid)
  • $12 Meal Credit
  • Over 8hrs:
  • 60 min Break (Unpaid)
  • $16 Meal Credit

Dress Code

Employees are required to wear a company-branded top and a hairnet while on the truck. Company-branded headwear is optional. Bottoms must be black, grey, khaki, or the company colors; burgundy or gold. If shorts are worn, they must be approximately knee length. Company-branded extras or replacements tops will be availble for purchase. T-shirts will be sold for $10. Hoodies will be sold for $25


10% Discount

Cocina Cecilia offers a 10% discount to all employees. This discount is also available to friends and family upon management approval. In the case where the purchase is paid for in cash the amount will be rounded down given the lack of change available.


Monthly Bonus

Cash tips will be collected at the end of every work week and be added up at the end of every month. The sum will be divided 70/30 between Cocina Cecilia's employees and Cocina Cecilia, and then divided amongst the employees based on the hours worked. Employees who are trady three or more times a month will forfiet their eligibility for the Monthly Bonus

Example:

  • Monthly Tips: $1000
  • Initial Split
  • Employee's Share $700 (70%)
  • Cocina Cecilia's Share: $300 (30%)
  • Employee Split Based on Hours
  • Employee No. 1 (108 hrs): $525 (75%)
  • Employee No. 2 (36 hrs): $175 (25%)

Special Event Bonus

Employees will recieve 5% of the total sales earned on any special event. Special events are deemed events where Cocina Cecilia travels outside their regularly stationed location. The bonus will be paid on the next scheduled payday and is contingent on the client's balance for this event, if applicable. Employees who are trady anytime during that work week will forfiet their eligibility for the Special Event Bonus

  • Total Sales Earned: $1500

Heat Advisory

Employees are not required to stay inside the truck. Especially if weather conditions become too hot. If there is a lull and all responsibilities have been met, we encourage our emplaoyees to step off the truck to cool off and get some fresh air.
